Suitability assessment

Investment advisors may only recommend products that fit a client's profile. To do so, advisors must provide them with the suitability statement, an electronic or written document. This summarizes the information provided by the client that led to a particular recommendation. The document is intended to help clients identify any discrepancies and understand the reasons for a recommendation.
